Show families your school takes their award
8,412 private schools in 22 states and DC are on their state's official school choice list. If yours is one of them, type its name below and copy your free 2026-27 badge. It links to your school's page here, where families see the award amount, who qualifies and how to apply.
Your badge
Prefer a plain text link?
The badge links to your school's page. Something wrong there? Use "Update this listing" on that page.
The badge keeps itself honest
Every school gets its own badge file. We rebuild it each time we reload the state's list, so it says "on the official list" only while the list names your school. If your school leaves the list, the same code shows the plain version on the right, which claims nothing. Nothing breaks on your website either way, and nobody has to remember to take it down.
How it works
- Find your school above. Only schools on their state's official list as we last read it, for all their grades, appear in the finder.
- Copy the code and paste it into your website, near your tuition or admissions information. Nothing to sign up for, and it is free.
- Your school's own page here links to this page with your badge already open (under "School staff").
Not in the finder, but you are on the list? Lists change and names differ. Send us your school's details with a link to the official list and we will check it. We never mark a school that is not on the state's own list, and no school can pay for the mark.
Badges by state
Each badge names the program and the school year, so it never vouches for a list we have not re-read.
Questions
What does the badge cost?
Nothing. There is no sign-up, and no school can pay to get the badge, to be listed or to rank higher.
Which schools can use it?
Schools named on their state's official school choice list, as we last read it, for all the grades they teach. 8,412 schools in 22 states and DC qualify today. A school the state lists for some grades only (for example pre-K and kindergarten) is not offered it, because the badge names no grades.
What happens if our school leaves the list?
Each school has its own badge file, rebuilt every time we reload the state's list. If the list no longer names your school, the image changes to a plain "school choice facts" badge that makes no claim about the list. Your link keeps working, so your website never shows a broken image.
We are on the list but not marked. What now?
Lists change and names differ. Send your school's details and a link to the official list from the for-schools page, and we will check it against the state's file.
