ChoiceFunded What your state pays

About ChoiceFunded

Private schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and the state programs that help families pay for them.

Who runs it

ChoiceFunded is a small, independent publisher. It is not owned by, or a front for, any business it lists. Listings, corrections and questions are handled by our listings editor, Quentin. Write to editor@choicefunded.com and it reaches the desk directly.

Where the facts come from

  • The U.S. Department of Education's Private School Universe Survey for grades, size, ratios and affiliation.
  • Each state's own published list of schools taking part in its program, dated and linked.
  • Each school's public Google profile, for its website and whether it is still open.

Every listing shows when it was last checked. The full method is on how we verify listings.

What decides a listing

Every school in the federal survey that is still open is listed, plus schools on a state list that skipped the survey. A program badge appears only when the school is on that state's official list; nobody can buy one.

Independence and money

No business can pay for its place in the rankings, its badges or its verification. One business per area can pay a flat monthly fee for a sponsored box, which is labelled Sponsored, sits apart from the ranked list and is explained on our advertise page.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, email editor@choicefunded.com with the page and what should change. A business can also update or claim its own listing. We check each correction against a public source or the business itself, fix what is wrong, and date the change. A business closed on its public record is removed automatically; a business that tells us it is still open stays listed while we check.
