Kentucky is on the IRS list for the new federal scholarship tax credit that starts January 1, 2027. The legislature opted in with HB 1 (2026) over the governor’s veto, and the Secretary of State is collecting scholarship organization filings for a list due to Treasury by January 1, 2027.
